Hands on is the only way to really understand an instrument

For every piece of kit I demo I like to have got hands on and created at least one piece of music. This helps me to really understand the equipment and how its used in practise. It’s the only way I’ve found to examine it from all angles honestly.

AND… it means I get to make some music, which let’s face it is the whole point of doing this stuff.

At first I was a bit too casual about it and all my intros and outros were written using the synths but most viewers, didn’t realise that’s what I was doing. These days I make it more obvious and record video while playing etc.. and if it suits the demos or comparisions I’ll add some sounds only examples
