The Prophet VS's waves, now on the MiniFreak.
The Sequential Prophet VS has 128 single-cycle waveforms, and that glassy, crunchy digital character is all over the late 80s. I sampled these from my own Prophet VS, and they keep the imaging artefacts at the low end that the original has. They're the same waves as my Prophet VS wavetables for Serum and Pigments, built for the MiniFreak's wavetable oscillator.
You get all 128 in one table, so one sweep of the Wave control goes through everything the VS has. You also get eight 16-wave banks. With only 16 waves across the knob, each wave gets far more of its travel, so it's easy to land on the one you want, and slow LFO or envelope sweeps morph between neighbouring waves instead of racing through dozens of them.
WHAT'S IN IT
9 wavetables: VS 128 (all 128 waves in order) and VS Bank 1 to VS Bank 8 (16 waves each).
A wave map picture showing every wave with its number, laid out by bank, so you can see where a wave is before you go looking for it.
Names are 9 characters or fewer, so nothing gets cut short on the MiniFreak's screen.
Mono WAV, 2048 samples per wave: the frame size the MiniFreak expects, and it works in other wavetable synths that read 2048-sample frames too.
WORKS IN MINIFREAK V AND ON THE MINIFREAK HARDWARE
Import the WAVs into MiniFreak V and they appear as your own user wavetables on Oscillator 1. With a MiniFreak or MiniFreak Stage linked, importing them puts them in the synth's own memory too. That needs firmware 5 or later, the update that added user wavetables. The READ ME walks you through both.
This is a wavetable pack, not a preset bank: it has no presets. It's raw material for your own sounds.
Requires Arturia MiniFreak V version 5 or later, plus firmware 5 or later on a MiniFreak or MiniFreak Stage if you want them on the hardware. Royalty-free licence for use in your music.
